Tether hires KPMG to audit USDT

According to market news, Tether, the stablecoin USDT issuer, has selected KPMG as its auditor and hired PricewaterhouseCoopers to assist in improving its internal system. The move is the clearest signal that Tether is moving towards a comprehensive financial statement audit that will go beyond the current monthly certificate of reserves issued by BDOItalia to comprehensively review assets, liabilities, controls and reporting processes. Previously, Tether announced that it had hired one of the four major accounting firms to conduct an audit of its business, but did not disclose the name of the specific firm at the time.
