On March 27, Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov said in an interview that Russia had not provided intelligence information to Iran. Lavrov said that U.S. intelligence agencies accused Russia of suspected assistance in Iran in determining the location of U.S. military bases in the Middle East. He said that Russia and Iran have indeed signed a military-technical cooperation agreement. Russia has provided Iran with certain types of military-use products, but denied the accusation of providing intelligence to Iran, calling it "hype" by the media. He pointed out that everyone knows the coordinates of U.S. military bases in the Middle East, so Iran's attack on U.S. bases is not surprising. Lavrov said that although the tripartite negotiations on the Ukraine issue were suspended, Russia has learned of the content of the Uzbeki-US contacts. (CCTV)
