US envoy confirms that Pakistan is acting as a middleman between the United States and Iran

On March 27, U.S. envoy Steve Witkov confirmed that the United States has been negotiating with Iran through the diplomatic channel of Pakistan. Witkov told Trump at a cabinet meeting at the White House: "I can report to you today that we have worked with your foreign policy team to come up with a 15-point action list that forms the framework for the peace agreement. This list has been communicated through the government of Pakistan acting as mediator." Witkov said that so far, the framework "has resulted in strong and positive signaling and dialogue," but declined to disclose details of specific terms, citing the sensitivity of diplomatic consultations. Witkov also said iran insists it has the right to enrich uranium. He said Iran has adopted delaying tactics in negotiations and repeatedly rejected US requests. (CCTV News)
