Kalshi plans to completely ban sports figures and politicians from participating in relevant market transactions

According to Axios, the US forecasting market platform Kalshi announced that it will upgrade its user access mechanism to proactively prevent athletes, coaches, officials and other sports-related persons from participating in transactions in their sports, and also prohibit political candidates from trading in markets related to their own campaigns. The move is aimed at responding to the increasingly severe regulatory pressure on insider trading.<br /> Polymarket has also introduced new regulations that strictly prohibit the use of non-public information.
