NicCarter: Bitcoin's lagging anti-quantum performance may become an opportunity for Ethereum to rise

According to Cointelegraph, NicCarter, founding partner of CastleIsland Ventures, said Bitcoin's lag in quantum resistance could be a bullish reason for Ethereum. Carter said that elliptic curve cryptography is close to being phased out and blockchain developers need to accept the need for cryptography to be variable. He pointed out that Bitcoin developers have "turned a blind eye" to the issue of quantum resistance, while Ethereum developers have made it a "top strategic priority" and have developed a detailed anti-quantum roadmap. Carter believes that unless Bitcoin changes quickly, ETH/BTC will begin to reflect this difference in priority. ARKInvest previously reported that about one-third of bitcoins face quantum threats, but they are long-term risks. Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin proposed a quantum resistance roadmap in February. BIP-360 co-authors responded that core contributors have been participating in the proposal. Carter criticized Bitcoin's core developers for "denying, misleading, and rejecting community feedback," while Bitcoin developers said the proposal had received the most comments in history.
