Obex deploys $1 billion in diversified investments to increase yields on Sky's USDS stablecoins

Cryptocurrency incubator Obex announced that it has begun deploying US$1 billion to connect Sky Ecosystem's USDS stablecoins with real-world asset (RWA) earnings, focusing on investing in credit, energy and AI assets, including AI data centers, housing and energy infrastructure. The goal of tokenized products such as infrastructure is to allow Sky Ecosystem to transcend "circular" crypto native revenue and provide higher-quality and sustainable yields to USDS holders. Sky, as the world's third-largest stablecoin issuer (USDS size is approximately US$10 billion), has generated approximately US$435 million in annualized revenue in 2025 and plans to push USDS supply to more than US$20 billion next year. Obex had previously been authorized to invest up to US$2.5 billion of Sky's reserves into RWA, and this US$1 billion is the first actual deployment.
