Visa announces becoming a CantonNetwork super verifier

Visa announced that it will join CantonNetwork, becoming the first major global payments company to serve as a super verifier. Visa will become one of 40 super verifiers to help banks and financial institutions put payment streams online.<br /> Rubail Birwadker, head of global growth products and strategic partnerships at Visa, said: "Many banks view lack of privacy as a fatal factor in driving meaningful activities to move up the chain. By operating as a super verifier on Canton Network, we bring Visa level trust, governance and operational rigour to a privacy-protecting blockchain infrastructure, allowing regulated financial institutions to link payments without having to rethink how they operate."
