Coinbase and Chainlink order book and derivatives data to expand DeFi application scenarios
Coinbase announced that it will push its exchange market data directly to the chain for the first time through the ChainlinkDataLink service, including order books and derivative data such as futures and perpetual contracts. This integration covers CoinbaseInternational Exchange and CoinbaseDerivatives Exchange data streams, allowing on-chain protocols and applications to obtain and verify multiple types of market information, including perpetual contracts, stocks and commodities, in real time. Coinbase said that this move will not only help it commercialize core market data resources and promote the "all-round exchange" and integrated prime broker strategy, but will also provide DeFi and traditional financial developers with institutional benchmark data to support derivatives and Tokenized application innovations such as assets. Chainlink pointed out that the cooperation is expected to provide a higher secure and reliable data infrastructure for on-chain finance and promote the development of the next generation financial system.
