COSCO Shipping resumes booking of ships from Gulf countries temporarily leaving the Strait of Hormuz
According to Jin Shi quoted Caixin.com, COSCO Shipping Container Shipping Corporation previously issued a service reminder: to resume new booking business (ordinary boxes) from the Far East to Middle Eastern Gulf countries such as United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, and Iraq from now on.<br />
Resumption of shipments does not mean that COSCO Shipping's container ships can pass through the Strait of Hormuz. Many COSCO Shipping personnel said that ships will not cross the Strait for the time being. Instead, similar to CMA's previous plan, they will first ship containers to the port of Sohar in Oman on the east side of the Strait; the ports of Harfakan, Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates, and the port of Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, and then transport the containers to these countries through land transfer.
