Invesco joins tokenization competition to take over Superstate's US$900 million chain fund USTB
According to CoinDesk, Invesco is a US-based asset management company with US$2.2 trillion in assets under management. The company will take over Superstate's tokenized U.S. Treasury funds, a move that marks the further penetration of large traditional asset managers into the blockchain finance arena. The USTB fund holds short-term U.S. Treasury assets with a size of more than US$900 million, making it one of the largest tokenized U.S. Treasury funds. This market segment is growing rapidly and is committed to bringing money market funds onto the blockchain track. According to the plan, the transition is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2026, when the fund will be renamed the InvescoShortDurationUSGovernmentSecuritiesFund, while retaining its original code and token structure. This move also marks Invesco's official entry into the approximately US$12 billion tokenized U.S. Treasury market, competing with global asset management giants such as BlackRock, Franklin Templeton and Fidelity.
