Kraken user was attacked by social engineering and 8662 ETH pieces were stolen and transferred to HitBTC

According to online analyst Ember (@EmberCN), a Kraken user was suspected to have suffered a social engineering attack and stolen 8,662 ETH pieces worth approximately US$18.19 million. The attacker then exchanged 878 ETH for 26.5 BTC through the cross-chain tool THORChain, and transferred all the stolen assets (7,784 ETH+26.5 BTC) to the HitBTC exchange six hours later.
