Iranian official media sternly refutes rumors of going to Pakistan for negotiations
According to Iran's Tasnim News Agency, a person familiar with the matter was quoted as saying that neither Foreign Minister Aragzi nor Speaker Kalibaf left Iran. Both senior officials are currently in Tehran, actively fulfilling their national responsibilities against the backdrop of the current evolving regional situation. The source said: "Some media reports that the so-called Iranian negotiating team has arrived in Islamabad, Pakistan to negotiate with the Americans are completely inaccurate."<br />
He stressed: "As long as the United States does not fulfill its commitment to a ceasefire in Lebanon and the Zionist regime continues to launch attacks, negotiations will be stalled." The Wall Street Journal had previously claimed that the Iranian delegation arrived in Islamabad late Thursday.
