Iranian media: Western media "falsely describes" the atmosphere of Iranian-US negotiations
On April 12, Iran's Tasnim News Agency reported on the 12th that due to the United States 'failure to achieve its goals during the negotiations, some Western media began to "falsely describe" the atmosphere of the negotiations between Iran and the United States in Islamabad. The report said that only the Ibero-US negotiation team and Pakistan officials were in the Serena Hotel, and no media were allowed to enter. Therefore, news such as "fierce conflicts occurred in the conference room" and "members of both sides shook hands" were entirely media hype carried out by the United States in order to cover up its "successive failures and weak position" during the negotiations. According to Iranian media previously quoted people familiar with the matter, due to the US's "exorbitant prices", no substantial progress has been made since the Iran-US Islamabad talks were held. Some Western media are exaggerating the "positive atmosphere" of the negotiations for the purpose of influencing international energy prices. Despite progress in expert-level negotiations, the two sides still have serious differences on many issues such as the Strait of Hormuz issue. (Xinhua Agency)
