On April 13, the National Securities Commission (CNV) of Argentina recently issued Resolution No. 1125/2026, amending the definition of qualified investors and clearly including virtual assets in the scope of assets that can be used to determine investor qualifications. According to the new regulations, virtual assets held by individuals or legal persons can be combined with securities investments and bank deposits, and can be recognized as qualified investors if they reach 350,000 UVA (Argentine inflation-linked units). In addition, this amendment also adds provisions related to FinanciamientoColectivo, allowing non-qualified investors to participate in specific public offerings. The maximum limit of a single investment is 3000UVA, and the cumulative limit shall not exceed 10,000 UVA, and shall not exceed 5%(single) and 10%(cumulative) of the investor's personal assets.
