Australia pension fund Hostplus considers including cryptocurrency in its investment options

On March 24, Hostplus, one of Australia's largest pension funds, was considering including cryptocurrency in its investment options. Hostplus manages assets of more than A$150 billion (US$105 billion), and Sam Sicilia, chief investment officer, said the fund is studying ways to provide members with allocation channels for Bitcoin and other digital assets through its Choiceplus investment options. Choiceplus allows members to independently manage their retirement savings portfolios, and assets under this option currently account for approximately 1% of the total fund size.
