Google-linked data centers sell record $5.7 billion in high-yield bonds

On April 16, data centers linked to Alphabet Inc.'s Google were seeking to raise $5.7 billion by issuing high-yield bonds (junk bonds), which would become the largest transaction of its kind to finance the artificial intelligence construction boom. Morgan Stanley launched a market launch of the bond on Wednesday and is expected to complete pricing as early as this week, according to people familiar with the matter.
