Musk strives to turn X into a super-app banking and payment features expected to be launched soon
On April 27, more than three years after acquiring Twitter (now called X), Elon Musk said he was moving towards his long-standing goal of making the app a "universal app" and including a new financial services tool that he had promised to launch to the public this month. Based on the time frame Musk provided last month, XMoney, the banking and payment platform built into Social networks X, is expected to be open to the public for the first time soon. Early users of the service praised its competitive offers, including a 3% cash back on eligible purchases and a 6% interest rate on cash savings-the latter is about 15 times the national average. According to early user reports, Musk's new product is also expected to offer free point-to-point transfers, a metallic Visa debit card with user X's signature, and an AI housekeeper service developed by Musk's startup xAI to track consumption and organize past transactions.
