US Senator Tillis: Ready to push ClarityAct into committee review
On April 29, FoxBusiness reporter Eleanor Terrett disclosed that Republican U.S. Senator Tom Tillis said that he was ready to push the Clarity Act to enter the committee's revision and review stage item by item. "We've made a lot of progress and it's time to bring the bill to the committee and move forward," Tillis said in an interview on Capitol Hill. He said he would ask the chairman of the committee to arrange a formal review agenda after the resumption of the meeting. In response to disputes related to stablecoin earnings, Tillis said that most of the banking industry's concerns have been heard and resolved, and welcomes all parties to continue to "participate in discussions in good faith." In terms of timing, Tillis said that it hopes to publish the legislative text on the stablecoin income provisions 4 to 5 days before formal review and provide a preview version to relevant stakeholders in advance. In addition, regarding issues of software developer responsibilities and the possible impact of the 1960 criminal regulations on law enforcement, Tillis expressed overall support for Cynthia Lummis's current legislative direction.
