Israeli media says the United States has set April 9 as a target date for ending the war, but Iran denies talks as the strike continues
On March 24, according to Israeli media Ynetglobal, after President Trump issued a statement, an Israeli official said that Washington had set April 9 as the target date for ending the war. Talks between Iran and the United States are expected to take place in Pakistan later this week, the official said, adding that Washington has not yet informed Israel of its contacts with Iran's Parliament Speaker Karibaf. The official said ending the war on the target date would allow Trump to visit the country on Israel's Independence Day and accept the "Israel Award." Officials said Iran sometimes launches 12 to 15 missiles a day, while on other days the number drops to about seven. But they also pointed out that Iran has struggled to launch large-scale salvos, in part because of the disruption of its command and control system. The United States set April 9 as a target date for ending the war in Iran, but as the strike intensified, Tehran denied negotiating.
