Google's IsomorphicLabs will raise $2 billion in new funding

On May 9, according to people familiar with the matter, IsomorphicLabs, an AI drug discovery company spun off from Google's DeepMind, was conducting in-depth discussions and plans to raise more than US$2 billion in a new round of financing. The person familiar with the matter said ThriveCapital, a venture capital firm that led the first round of financing in IsomorphicLabs last year, will lead the new round of financing. One of the people familiar with the matter said Alphabet was also involved, but the funding round has not yet ended.
