Iranian officials: Iran and the United States have serious differences on how to dispose of enriched uranium
On May 12, an Iranian official said that negotiations between Iran and the United States had serious differences on issues such as the disposal of enriched uranium, the suspension of uranium enrichment activities, and war compensation. The Iranian official said that in its proposal, the United States requires the acquisition of Iran's enriched uranium with an enrichment of 60% and opposes the transfer of enriched uranium to Russia, but proposes to transfer it to a third country. The official also said that Iran opposes transporting enriched uranium abroad, but is prepared to dilute it under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency. (CCTV)
