On May 13, according to CCTV, the Iranian side released a message on the 12th local time that a person familiar with the matter disclosed five prerequisites for a new round of negotiations between Iran and the United States-namely,"ending wars on all fronts, especially Lebanon,""lifting sanctions on Iran,""releasing frozen Iranian funds,""compensating for losses caused by the war," and "recognizing Iran's dominance of the Strait of Hormuz." On the same day, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Garib Abadi said on social platforms that the US coercive policy cannot bring peace. He pointed out that Iran's principles are clear, namely, permanently stop the war and prevent it from happening again; compensate for losses; lift the blockade; lift illegal sanctions; and respect Iran's rights. The United States cannot talk about ceasefire while continuing blockade; talk about diplomacy while strengthening sanctions; talk about regional stability while exporting military forces to the region.
