The US Republican Party is dissatisfied with Fairshake's wait-and-see attitude towards the midterm elections and demands clear support
According to Axios, Republicans in the United States are increasingly dissatisfied with the flow of political donations to the crypto industry and are demanding that the pro-crypto super PACFairshake, which holds approximately US$165 million in funds, make a clear statement as soon as possible and focus on supporting Republican candidates in the 2026 midterm elections.
Republicans pointed out that in the context of its significant progress in promoting pro-encryption legislation such as the CLARITYAct, Fairshake has been slow to announce specific election investment plans, which is disappointing. Points of controversy include: Ohio Democratic Senate candidate Sherrod Brown: Fairshake spent more than $40 million to defeat then-Senator Brown in 2024, but Brown has significantly softened his attitude towards the crypto industry in recent years.
Rep. Chris Pappas of New Hampshire: His StandWithCrypto rating rose from "F" to "A" in eight months, and Republicans had expected Fairshake to focus on his campaign. In response, Fairshake supporters said it was still too early to speak out and stressed that the PAC was bipartisan and aimed to "reward supporters and punish critics" rather than unconditionally support a party. Some pro-crypto Republicans (such as the Winklevoss brothers) have formed separate independent groups specifically to support Republican candidates.
