According to TheBlock, according to SpaceX's S-1 filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in preparation for a listing, the company holds 18,712 bitcoins. Documents show that as of December 31, the purchase cost of these bitcoins was US$661 million, equivalent to approximately US$35,000 each. SpaceX began buying Bitcoin in 2021, almost at the same time as Tesla spent $1.5 billion to buy Bitcoin that year.
