Bitcoin ETF was trampled on by funds to withdraw $1.26 billion in a single week, Ethereum ETF lost blood for 10 consecutive days
The U.S. spot Bitcoin ETF recorded a net outflow of approximately US$1.26 billion this week, the largest weekly outflow since late January this year, and has seen net redemption for six consecutive trading days. Data showed that about US$649 million flowed out of this type of products on Monday alone. Although it eased in the following days, the overall outflow continued. Market participants pointed out that the recent rise in U.S. bond yields, a stronger U.S. dollar and geopolitical tensions are one of the main reasons for the withdrawal of funds. At the same time, the Ethereum ETF is also under pressure, with net outflows for 10 consecutive trading days, the longest outflow cycle since March 2025. The cumulative outflow throughout the week was approximately US$216 million. Among them, BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) currently manages approximately US$61.1 billion in assets, but it is still lower than the cumulative capital inflow of approximately US$3.7 billion, indicating that recent market price fluctuations have affected the value of positions. As of the close of the ETF trading day, Bitcoin prices were around US$77,500, and Ethereum was around US$2130, maintaining a narrow range overall. Despite the obvious short-term capital outflows, the cumulative net inflow of the spot Bitcoin ETF since its launch is still approximately US$57.1 billion, with assets of approximately US$98.9 billion.
