Iranian media refute Trump's claim that the Strait of Hormuz has "returned to normal"

On May 24, according to Fars News Agency, the Iranian side stated that Trump's statement that the Strait of Hormuz "returned to normal" was false. Iran says even if shipping flows increase again, it will still have full control of the strait, including routes, times, permits and rules of passage. Iran also said it had not discussed any nuclear commitments and said U.S. officials had told Iran that Trump's social media posts were mainly targeted at domestic media and political needs. (Jin Shi)
