Anthropic expects second-quarter revenue to reach $10.9 billion

On May 29, Anthropic expected second-quarter revenue to reach US$10.9 billion, a more than doubling month-on-month increase due to a surge in demand for its artificial intelligence software. The company is also expected to report its first quarterly profit. People familiar with the matter said the company has told investors that its annualized revenue operating rate will exceed US$50 billion by the end of next month. Operating rate is an indicator that estimates full-year revenue based on sales over a shorter period of time. Anthropic's operating rate in July last year was $4 billion.
