Iran's representative to the United Nations: hopes US-Iran talks will reach an agreement by the end of June
On June 9, Iran's representative to the United Nations, AmirSaeid Iravani, said on Monday that Iran and the United States were still working hard to move forward with peace agreement negotiations and was optimistic that the two sides would reach a final result "soon." When asked if there was a hope of reaching a deal by the end of June, Irawani responded: "We hope so." Irawani also stressed that the current ceasefire agreement is comprehensive and applies to the entire region, including Lebanon, but this statement is opposed by Israel. At the same time, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that although Israel has decided not to take further action against Iran, it will continue to launch attacks on Hezbollah militants in Lebanon.
