BIT adds ClearStreet to strengthen U.S. stock infrastructure layout for clearing partners
As the scale of the U.S. stock business continues to grow, BIT(formerly Matrixport) has added ClearStreet, a U.S. institutional-level clearing service provider, as a partner, marking that BIT has entered a higher standard development stage in the construction of the underlying infrastructure of U.S. stocks.
BIT's U.S. stock business adopts the OmnibusIB architecture, and all orders are cleared and managed by a licensed clearing institution in the United States. Currently, BIT has established cooperation with three U.S. licensed institutions: ClearStreet, RQDClearing and Atomic Vaults Securities (AVS).
Among them, ClearStreet relies on approximately US$1 billion in financing support and a strong capital base, handles approximately 550 million shares per day and a nominal transaction scale of approximately US$28.4 billion, and has the clearing and execution capabilities to serve large institutional customers. For users, this means that there is stronger institutional infrastructure support behind transactions, more stable systems, less prone to interruptions or delays in extreme market conditions, and also helps provide more adequate liquidity support and asset security.
Compared with the industry's general adoption of a single clearing partner model, the multi-institution parallel clearing structure can effectively disperse platform operational risks and improve the stability and continuity of transactions.
BIT stated that in terms of selecting clearing partners, the platform will continue to examine core indicators such as asset size, net capital level and risk control capabilities to match the asset allocation needs of global users.
