Trump family encryption project WorldLiberty is reported to be about to receive a U.S. OCC Federal Trust Bank license
On June 17, according to TheBlock's signing of NOTUS, Trump-backed crypto project WorldLibertyFinancial is expected to soon be approved by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) to become a federal trust bank. OCC Administrator Jonathan Gould was about to announce the decision, and two former OCC employees called approval "almost certain." WorldLiberty filed an application in January this year. The Federal Trust Banking License will allow it to issue and redeem USD1 stablecoins, manage reserves, provide digital asset custody, and conversion and settlement services without relying on third-party intermediaries.
