On June 23, 23 local time, Garibabadi, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister and head of the Iranian technical negotiation delegation, said that according to the consensus reached at the four-party talks in Switzerland, the next Iran-US negotiations will be carried out under the supervision of a high-level committee. Members include the Iranian Speaker, the Iranian Foreign Minister, the U.S. Vice President, and the Prime Ministers of Pakistan and Qatar. At the same time, it was decided to establish four working groups responsible for: lifting sanctions, nuclear issues, reconstruction and economic development, and supervision and enforcement. The parties also decided to establish a contact point between Iran and the United States to ensure the safe passage of commercial ships through the Strait of Hormuz, and to establish a Lebanon conflict de-escalation team between Iran, the United States, Pakistan and Qatar. The heads of technical delegations of the four countries will supervise the working groups and the above two mechanisms and report progress to the high-level committee. Garibabadi finally said that during the technical negotiations, the parties also carried out necessary follow-up on the issuance of general licenses for the sale of Iranian oil, petrochemicals, derivatives and related services, and the relevant consensus on unfreezing Iran's frozen assets. Based on this, the United States has issued sales licenses for relevant petroleum products and other products, and has announced them on the website of the Office of Foreign Assets Control of the U.S. Department of the Treasury. In addition, all parties also agreed to initiate the previously signed arrangements for the unfreezing of frozen funds, totaling US$12 billion (divided into two transactions, US$6 billion each), and immediately enter the implementation stage.
