Five Democratic senators urged the chairman of the Republican committee on Tuesday to hold an immediate hearing into the United Arab Emirates's reported $500 million investment in the Trump family's crypto company WorldLibertyFinancial. It is reported that Abu Dhabi royal aides signed an agreement four days before Trump took office last year to purchase a 49% stake in WorldLibertyFinancial for US$500 million, of which US$218 million in advance has been paid to Trump and his diplomat in charge of Middle East affairs Steve Witkoff family-related entities.
