Goldman Sachs: The ECB is expected to raise interest rates by 25 basis points in April and June 2026
According to reports from Jin Chao, Goldman Sachs currently expects the European Central Bank to raise interest rates by 25 basis points in April and June 2026. Previously, interest rates would remain unchanged this year. The adjustment is in line with forecasts last week by JPMorgan Chase and Barclays, which also expected the European Central Bank to act in April.<br />
Goldman Sachs pointed out that conflicts in the Middle East pose inflation risks, and rising energy prices are the main troubling factor.
