OpenAI-themed films have been finalized for new distributors and plans to release them this year
On July 1, the star-studded film "Artificial" directed by Luca Guadanino and focusing on Sam Ultraman and OpenAI was taken over by independent film distribution company Neon after it was abandoned by Amazon MGM Pictures. Neon Pictures announced on Tuesday that after multiple rounds of bidding, the company had successfully purchased the distribution rights to the film. The US$40 million film, which is nearly completed, stars Andrew Garfield as Sam Ultraman. Earlier this month, Amazon suddenly announced that it would abandon distributing the film, just a few months after Amazon officially announced that it would invest US$50 billion in OpenAI. Amazon said at the time that launching "Artificial Intelligence" by another publisher would be more conducive to the development of the film. Neon Pictures revealed on Tuesday that "Artificial Intelligence" is scheduled to be released this year and hit the Oscars this year. The film revolves around the ouster and reinstatement of Sam Ultraman as CEO of OpenAI in 2023. Monica Barbaro, Yula Borisov and Oscar winner Mark Rylance co-starred, and Ike Balinholz plays Elon Musk in the film.
