Ethereum Q2 's total chain yield dropped to 2.68% year-on-year, down 61%

According to TheDeFiReport Ethereum's second-quarter ecological performance report, the real economic value (REV) of Ethereum Q2 was US$88.4 million, a month-on-month increase of 7% and a year-on-year decrease of 68%.<br /> The report shows that Q2's real chain yield averaged only 0.17%, down 14% month-on-month and down 61% year-on-year; the total chain yield (including issuance) was 2.68%, of which issuance accounted for 94%, and priority fees and MEV only contributed 0.17%. L1GDP, DeFi activity and L2 participation all continued to weaken significantly.<br /> The report pointed out that although user experience and throughput have improved, L1 fee capture capabilities are still weak, and practical applications such as RWA need to be used as a settlement layer to smooth cyclical fluctuations in the future.
