Uniswap initiates v4 protocol fee activation temperature check and introduces layered fee controller system

According to official sources, UniswapLabs has released a temperature check proposal, proposing to enable protocol fees in the v4 pool. The proposal follows the rapid governance process previously approved by UNIFICATION and will go directly to a five-day Snapshot vote, followed by an on-chain vote.
Since v4's Hook architecture makes fee setting more complex than v2/v3, the proposal designs the V4FeeController system, which contains two core contracts: V4FeePolicy calculates fees for any pool based on governance rules, and V4FeeAdapter is responsible for performing governance coverage and collecting fees to TokenJar. Fees are calculated hierarchically according to the family to which the pool belongs: first, check the specific transaction pair rate set by the governance, secondly, the default rate for the family, and finally, the global default rate.
This proposal plans to activate fees for three types of pool families on 11 chains including Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, and BNBChain: static rate pools without hooks, CCA pools after continuous clearing auctions, and aggregator Hook pools. Among them, after the rate of the aggregator Hook pool is adjusted by a 25-fold multiplier, the default default is 10bp (stable coin versus 3bp) for non-Base chains, and the default is 3bp (stable coin versus 1bp) for Base chains. All fees will flow into TokenJar, and the UNI destruction volume on L2 and Alt-L1 will be bridged across the chain to the Ethereum main network and sent to the 0xdead address.
The Snapshot voting window is from July 7 to 12, and online voting will be launched in the week of July 13. Since Governor Bravo's proposal is limited to 10 operations, two chains will be submitted to vote in parallel to cover all chains.
