Bank of Korea Governor: Korean won stablecoin legislation should be promoted as soon as possible, advocating bank-led issuance

According to Eddaily, Bank of Korea Governor ShinHyun-song said at a parliamentary meeting that legislation on the Korean won stableco-related system and the Basic Law on Digital Assets should be promoted as soon as possible, and emphasized that there will be competition and complementarity between stablecoins, deposit tokens and central bank digital currencies.
