According to EmberCN monitoring, due to the overall downturn in the crypto market in recent months, the issuance of USDT and USDC, the two major stablecoins, has decreased by approximately US$13.9 billion, of which USDT has decreased by approximately US$7.4 billion and USDC has decreased by approximately US$6.5 billion. However, the adoption of stablecoins in real economic scenarios continues to grow. In the first half of this year, the real economic transaction volume (ATV) of stablecoins reached US$8.82 trillion, close to US$10.8 trillion when last year hit a record high, of which USDT contributed more than half. Against the backdrop of a decline in the overall issuance of stablecoins, USDT issuance on the Tron chain bucked the trend to a record high of US$90.3 billion, adding about US$2 billion in the past month. This means that the reduced circulation mainly comes from the Ethereum ecosystem, which is dominated by DeFi, while Tron's demand in real application scenarios such as cross-border transfers and payment settlement continues to grow steadily.
