Gunlach warns: Market situation resembles the eve of the 2008 financial crisis
On March 24, Jeffrey Gunlach, CEO of Dual-Line Capital and known as the "New Debt King", said that the market is currently in a state of stagnation and few assets can bring considerable returns. He also warned that if investors pile up to cash out, emerging pressures in the private sector could intensify further. "The current market is a bit like it is standing still, with no trend at all. Almost nothing is rising, and nothing is falling. In the past nine months, there's really not much asset that can make a lot of money,"Gunlach said on a show. Gunlach believes that the current environment is somewhat similar to the period before the financial crisis in 2008. Asset prices seemed high at the time, but early signs of crisis were dismissed as isolated incidents.
