Iran's Revolutionary Guard warns to shoot a violating vessel, the Strait of Hormuz is temporarily closed
On July 12, according to CCTV, in the early morning of the 12th local time, the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy issued a statement saying that it had fired warning shots at a ship in the Strait of Hormuz. The statement said that several ships tried to deviate from the approved route, ignored Iraq's warnings and reminders, and refused to adjust their course and sail according to the prescribed route. One of the ships, which shut down its systems and endangered the safety of maritime navigation, was shot at with warning and was forced to stop sailing. The statement said that since the insecurity was "caused by illegal interference by foreign forces," the Strait of Hormuz will be temporarily closed until further notice. No ships will be allowed through until the United States ends its intervention in the region. In addition, if the "invaders" use this incident as an excuse to take wrong actions or launch another attack on Iran, Iran will respond with stronger force and attack new enemy military bases in the region.
