Wave Field TRON holds the latest developer meeting: v4.8.1 upgrade is over, TIP-6780 is about to be launched

According to official sources, at the latest issue of the Wave Field TRON Developer Conference (#57), the community focused on disclosing a number of core technology developments including the v4.8.1 upgrade progress, the TIP-6780 promotion plan, the TronWeb update and subsequent version planning.<br /> According to the content of the meeting, the final preparations for the v4.8.1 network upgrade have been completed, the conditions for proposal initiation have been met, and nodes that have not yet been upgraded need to be updated as soon as possible to avoid affecting block synchronization. At the same time, the community is expected to launch a TIP-6780 vote on April 7 to adjust the SELFDESTRICT command. Relevant DApp developers need to make compatibility adaptations in advance.<br /> At the tool level, TronWeb v6.2.2 has been officially released, and the v5 version has been suspended. Developers need to migrate to v6 as soon as possible to obtain continuous support and optimization experience. In addition, the meeting simultaneously disclosed that v4.8.2 has entered the planning stage and is expected to be released in Q2 2026.
