Singapore police and cryptocurrency exchanges prevent 145 potential fraud victims from losing more than US$4.2 million

During the six-week joint anti-fraud operation from April 16 to May 31, 2026, the Singapore Police Anti-Fraud Center and Cyber Investigation Department collaborated with Coinbase, Coinhako, Gemini, Independent Reserve, OKX, StraitsX and Upbit to identify potential fraud victims through Chainalysis and TRMLabs 'blockchain analysis tools, and conducted more than 145 targeted interventions through telephone and on-site methods to prevent potential losses exceeding US$4.2 million. Coinbase Singapore issued an article on X on July 10 stating that it cooperated with the Singapore police to prevent more than 145 people from fraud, totaling more than US$4.2 million.
