French Blockade Forecast Market Polymarket

On July 18, French regulator ANJ said on July 17 that Polymarket's website would be blocked in France after the agency banned financial transactions to the website in November 2024. ANJ said the site's continuous availability (real-time updates of odds for different events) constituted advertising. Despite a ban on transactions from French accounts, the number of visits to Polymarket's website from French Internet addresses has been rising, reaching 578,751 in June.
