Well-known crypto trader DoctorProfit issued a statement saying that he has closed all short positions in cryptocurrencies, including a short position in Bitcoin established in the range of US$115,000 to US$125,000, another short position in Bitcoin established in the range of US$79,000 to US$82,000, and more than 100 short positions in altcoins opened in the past few months, and said that the above positions have achieved large profits. He also said that he had re-purchased Bitcoin spot at US$64,000, which was his first long-term allocation since September 2025. It plans to invest 5% of the planned funds in spot purchases every day when Bitcoin is in the range of US$54,000 to US$64,000 for up to 20 days; if the price approaches US$54,000, it will increase its buying intensity. DoctorProfit believes that there is a clear "herd behavior" in the current market: investors who had previously been bullish at highs of $150,000 are now generally waiting for Bitcoin to fall to $40,000 to $50,000, and regard September or October as the bottom of the four-year cycle. When a large number of investors wait for the same price and time point at the same time, the market may not operate according to this expectation, so they choose to open positions in advance and judge that the bottom of this round may occur earlier than the market generally expected. He also listed regulatory clarity, asset tokenization infrastructure and institutional adoption progress as structural reasons for the shift to buy, and withdrew previous predictions that Bitcoin would fall to $40,000 to $50,000. However, it still retains all short positions in the S & P 500 index and believes that the crypto market has completed a significant re-pricing, while the valuation of U.S. stocks is still high.
