The Wanchain Cross-Chain Bridge suffered a vulnerability attack on Monday, and 290 million NIGHT tokens were transferred out. The NIGHT price fell by about 43% to an all-time low, and then partially recovered by nearly 19% within 24 hours. Charles Hoskinson said that the related problem comes from the old cross-chain bridge architecture built by third parties, and AI-driven vulnerability discovery is accelerating vulnerability exposure in all software, not limited to the encryption field. He believes that zero-knowledge systems such as Midnight are long-term solutions that can replace trust in cross-chain bridge operators and multi-signature mechanisms with cryptographic proof.
