On July 23, TheInformation reported on Thursday, citing people familiar with the matter, that Anthropic is considering requiring ordinary employees to sell shares through a predetermined trading plan after the company goes public to avoid raising concerns about insider trading. All Anthropic employees may have to use the 10b5 -1 trading plan (usually only available to executives and some financial and legal personnel). The plan will require employees to sell shares according to a pre-set timetable, which clearly stipulates when, how much and how much shares will be sold. Discussions between Anthropic executives and external advisers are still ongoing and it is not known whether the company has made a decision. The company is also weighing the number of shares existing shareholders can sell on the first day of listing and the length of the lock-up period after the IPO.
