On July 24, the Supreme People's Court and the Supreme People's Procuratorate jointly issued the "Decision on Amending the Interpretation of the Supreme People's Court and the Supreme People's Procuratorate on Several Issues Concerning the Specific Application of Laws in Handling Criminal Cases of Insider Trading and Disclosure of Inside Information"(Law Interpretation [2026] No. 13), which will take effect on July 27, 2026. In the next step, the Supreme People's Court and the Supreme People's Procuratorate will guide local people's courts and people's procuratorates at all levels to accurately understand and apply the "Amendment Decision", severely punish the crimes of insider trading and disclosure of inside information in accordance with the law, and provide more powerful judicial protection for the stable operation of the capital market.
