Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff: Expanding military operations in Iraq will lead to shortages of air defense ammunition stocks
On July 26, Admiral Dan Kane, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the U.S. Army, privately warned that although restarting large-scale operations against Iran is feasible, it would dangerously consume U.S. air defense ammunition reserves in the Middle East. Kane told government officials that expanding military operations would lead to a shortage of stocks of Patriot interceptor missiles and other air defense systems equipped by the U.S. Central Command. It is reported that when Trump and senior advisers assess whether to further escalate the conflict, the above-mentioned ammunition shortage concerns are one of the factors to consider. (Sina Finance)
