The proportion of long-term Bitcoin holders transferring positions to trading platforms is close to historical peaks
CryptoQuant analyst Darkfost said in a post that the scale of long-term BTC holders transferring positions to trading platforms has recently risen to a high level. Currently, long-term holders contribute 5.1% of total Bitcoin inflows to trading platforms. This ratio is close to the historical record, with only 2020 being higher than the current level, close to 5.5%. The change came after the price of Bitcoin fell sharply. Since the 90-day moving average data is used, this indicator has a certain lag, and changes will not immediately reflect the latest market dynamics. In the future, this trend is likely to gradually stabilize, but judging from current data, long-term holders have significantly more active trading activities in the near future.
