SecondFi white-hat team has allocated some of the rescued assets to the EMURGO Recovery Fund
On July 29, Cardano wallet service provider SecondFi released a security incident update saying that a white-hat team participating in its AssetRecoveryFund had deposited some of the rescued assets into the recovery fund address set up by EMURGO to transparently track the progress of asset recovery, and emphasized that this address is for viewing only and users are not allowed to transfer money to this address. SecondFi reiterated that it will not ask for private keys, mnemons or wallet certificates, nor will it proactively contact users through private messages or emails to remind them that counterfeit SecondFi browser extensions and applications have appeared on the market. The only official extension is only available on the ChromeWebStore with blue authentication marks. It also reminds users to obtain links and information only through secondfi.io and the official support portal.
